*Never leave a burning candle unattended. *Burn candle until pool of wax reaches outer rim. This is necessary every time you burn your candle. If you blow it out too soon, the size of the wax pool will be the size of the hole in the candle forever. If your candles have thick walls and will not stay lit, you are under burning them. *To get the wax pool to the edge of the candle, the candle must be burned at least one hour for every inch in diameter. For example, a 2"x6" or 2"x9" should burn at least two hours, and a 3"x6" should burn at least three hours. Under burning candles will greatly reduce the candle's life. *If burned correctly, our 2"x3", 2"x6" or 2"x9" will burn 10-15 hours per inch of length, and our 3"x3" and 3"x6" will burn 20-25 hours per inch of length. *Keep your candle out of any draft to provide optimal burning results. If you cannot avoid placing your candle in a draft, try turning the candle 180 degrees every hour or so to compensate. *Always burn candle when the room temperature is above 50 degrees. Do not light candle until it has reached room temperature. It could crack from the heat/cold difference. *Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4". *Do not place your candle in a small room with no air. Flames need oxygen. If you do so, you will get smoke. *Place candle on a non-flammable surface. |
